Kaspersky

In partnership with Trunk Animation we created 8 films (5 of which are shown here) for internet security experts Kaspersky. We were asked to create a concept that would help explain their various products while remaining bright, colourful and engaging. In order to work globally and be easily translated into 14 languages we worked within a simple set of rules and colours - with Spencer creating the illustrations, Miles policing the art direction and palettes and Pete managing the movement and animation.

A Liar's Autobiography

We were one of fourteen animation studios that directed sections of the feature length stereoscopic 3D film based on the memoir of Monty Python's Graham Chapman.
Our section is perhaps one of the only truly autobiographical sections in which Graham's dad collected body parts after a plane crash during the Second World War and is voiced by Graham Chapman, Terry Jones and Michael Palin.

Exclusive 3-D screening and Q&A with the animation companies involved at Rich Mix, Monday 25th Feb, Rich Mix, London, E1 6LA. 6pm. Tickets here.

University of Brighton Gallery at the Faculty of Arts in Grand Parade, 58-67 Grand Parade, Brighton, BN2 0JY

A star-studded line-up of the nation’s top illustrators has come together for a unique exhibition at the University of Brighton.

All of the artists either graduated or worked at the university and they include Sir Quentin Blake CBE, who illustrated Roald Dahl books; Raymond Briggs, who illustrated The Snowman book; and award-winning children’s books illustrator Emily Gravett.

Curators of the exhibition “aim to reflect on the diversity of work originating from the Illustration studios at Brighton over the last 40 years, celebrating achievements and highlighting the possible direction illustrative practice may take in future.”

Other artists among the 130 exhibitors are George Hardie, best known for producing album covers for rock bands; John Vernon Lord, illustrator of children’s classics including Lewis Carroll’ The Hunting of the Snark; and Peepshow Collective, the design studio launched by University of Brighton graduates.
